Water disruption to affect Klang Valley on Dec 19
PETALING JAYA: Around 3,892,641 water users in the Klang Valley will be affected by a scheduled water disruption on Dec 19.
In a statement on Thursday, National Water Services Commission (SPAN) chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Ridhuan Ismail said that the disruption would be due to maintenance works carried out by Tenaga Nasional Berhad to install a protective arc system being installed at the main entrance of the Bukit Badong substation in Hulu Selangor on Dec 19.
The disruption due to the work is expected to last for 16 hours, from 8am till midnight. Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Selangor and Kuala Lumpur will be affected, as the disruption will affect the three main water treatment facilities that supplies water to 60 percent of users in the Klang Valley.
